Banana Bed adapts to a changing climate
After last summer's drought, the team looking after the Banana Bed are using more drought tolerant planting to adapt to the changing climate.
If you have oregano, thyme, hardy geraniums or other drought tolerant plants you can help by planting a bunch at the bed. It's the banana shaped piece of land on the corner of Talbot Road and North Park Avenue.
So far this year the bed is looking fantastic and the Yellow Rattle (known as nature's meadow maker) is in flower.
