The AQUA project got underway in August with 10 citizen scientists working with the University of York collecting samples to test for e-coli and nutrients in the becks and lakes. The sampling will take place 4 times a year.

Our chemical testing team found high levels of ammonia in Fox Wood Beck in August, alerting Yorkshire Water, who investigated and stopped sewage leaking into a surface drain from a defective private foul sewer.
